Peace in Palestine

Obama Israel Palestine PeaceNobel Peace Prize Laurette Barack Obama is determined for the European invasion of Palestine to end in reconciliation.

Recently, Obama confronted the violence in the middle east head on. “We have to summon the will to break the deadlock that has trapped generations of Israelis and Palestinians in an endless cycle of conflict and suffering,” Obama said in the Rose Garden last Wednesday afternoon.

“This moment of opportunity may not soon come again. The [two sides] cannot afford to let it slip away.”

It is truly a noble goal, but don’t forget that when Emperor Obama says “we” what he means is that he intends to continue confiscating the wealth of American citizens in order to provide financial support for both sides of this war.

The Emperor’s recent oratorical heroics places him among an elite class of visionaries who desire an end to this conflict.

Jimmy Carter Israel Palestine Peace

“We are going to settle things on the West Bank. We are friends. There will be peace in the Middle East.”

“I think there will be peace in the Middle East thanks to these brave men who have had the courage to face difficult problems.”

Ronald Reagan Israel Palestine Peace

“We’ve made significant progress toward peace. We have initiated a dialogue from which we should not consider turning back.”

“Much work remains to be done and the road ahead is tough, but it’s the right road and I remain optimistic that direct negotiations for a just resolution of the Palestinian problem in the context of a real and enduring peace is within our reach.”

George H.W. Bush Israel Palestine Peace

“We want to be an honest broker, and I think the parties see us in that role, and that’s the role we will continue to play at this point.”

Bill Clinton Israel Palestine Peace

“The hardest issues now at last are on the table….I hope the parties will seize this opportunity and not retreat from the clear moment to capture the momentum of peace.”

George W Bush Israel Palestine Peace

“The Israelis and Palestinians have waited a long time for this vision to be realized, and I call upon all those gathering to redouble their efforts to turn dreams of peace into reality.”

“I remain personally committed to implementing my vision of two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.”

Hmmm…I feel as if we may have been strung along…

It’s almost as if our rulers intentionally invaded the land of a sovereign people, created conflict and suffering, and then used that conflict and suffering that they created as justification for them to keep their jobs and impoverish their countrymen while funneling the wealth of Americans to themselves and their friends.

Ugh, keep voting for these assholes, assholes.

Can I get some Dr. Ron Paul, please?

The Republican Party: The Perpetual Party of Lincoln

Re-posted with permission from Edgardo Peregrino. Original can be found on his Facebook note

After reading Thomas DiLorenzo’s The Real Lincoln, I have noticed how the Republican Party has not changed in the last 150 years and have refused to embrace change. Obviously the reason I don’t bash the Democrats is because they are statists at heart and you don’t have to read between the lines to know that they support a centralized state. However, the Republicans pretend to be for limited government but history and their actions show otherwise.

If you look at history, the origins of our current government goes all the way back to before the Civil War when Henry Clay supported what he called an “American System.” The three planks were protectionism, central banking, and corporate subsidies. Lincoln was an avid supporter of this system and lambasted his opponents like Andrew Jackson who refused to abide by any of the planks. As a Whig and then a Republican Lincoln admired Clay and even spoke at his funeral in 1852. When he was elected as president he applied the “American system” to cripple the South, especially on protectionist tariffs. He used tariffs to destroy the economy of the South which heavily relied on trade and continued to tax the South into submission. The Confederate Constitution explicitly banned protectionist tariffs and internal improvements, which the Founding Fathers spoke out against. Lincoln provided subsidies for railroads, which had been banned in almost every state by 1860 because they saw what happened when government got involved in business. Today, the Republican Party still maintains the very system that has lasted for 150 years. Regarding central banking, Lincoln was an advocate of monopolized money and attacked the idea of sound currency. The Republicans still support protectionism through NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, WTO, and other treaties which are nothing more than protectionism in another name. They also support protectionism against immigrants because they do not want them to compete in the market place so they enact draconian laws and call it immigration control. They do pay lip service to those who want the Federal Reserve but they do not dare to abolish it because they need to fund the military empire and as well as the corporate subsidies. Speaking of corporate subsidies, the Republicans still support corporate subsidies to Health Insurance Companies, Big Oil, multinational corporations, and corporations like Monsanto that have an influence on our government. Let’s not forget taxation as the Republicans still support taxation as a way to plunder from the people or the fact that they are perpetuating the very system of taxation Lincoln created during the war. If Lincoln was alive today, he would have been proud to see how the Republican Party maintained the very system he supported and created.

With regards to our foreign policy, the Republicans still support the military empire that was envisioned by Lincoln and the old Republican Party. After the Civil War, General Grant wanted to invade Mexico and began to irritate England once again and eventually William McKinley who served under Lincoln as a major started the Spanish-American War in 1898 and kick-started our path towards becoming a military empire. Today, the Republican Party still supports that empire and is not expected to change anytime soon. They supported war with Iraq, Afghanistan and are eager to go to war with Iran and any other country that did not attack us or pose a threat to us. The Republican Party has remained firm in their pursuit of a much larger military empire and will use the media to attack those who want to return to what Ron Paul calls a humble foreign policy.

Then, there comes the issue of secession, states’ rights and nullification. Lincoln started the lie that secession was illegal and that the Union created the states, the same argument made by Hitler in Mein Kampf. Lincoln’s war ensured that the right of secession to serve as a check on government power was gone and generations after bought the lie that secession is treason. However, the Declaration of Independence was essentially secession from the British Empire and the Founders like Jefferson and Madison were strong supporters of that principle. Even before the Civil War, New England threatened to secede due to Jefferson’s actions such as the Embargo and the Louisiana Purchase and even refused to send troops during the War of 1812. Many states recognized the right to secession and some who did not opposed government force against those who did secede. Lincoln destroyed states’ rights, nullification, and secession with the war and many historians to this day perpetuate the lie that secession is a myth. Today, the Republican Party pays lip service to such ideas (i.e. Rick Perry) and there are genuine constitutionalists who support such ideas (i.e. Ron Paul, Debra Medina). Of course, the Republicans support centralization of power and while they talk a good game about state sovereignty, their actions speak otherwise. If a state wanted to nullify the Patriot Act or any legislation that the Republicans supported, do you really think that the Republicans would support that? Of course not, the Republicans love Government and will stop at nothing to gain power.

Of course, I forgot to mention the Republican Party’s flagrant disregard for constitutional rights or rather natural rights. During the Civil War, Lincoln and his party suspended habeas corpus (Bush did that too), confiscated private property waged war on civilians, burned down cities, and imprisoned those who disagreed with him. Today, the Republicans gave us eminent domain, the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and other legislation that violated our liberties.

As history tells us, the Republican Party has not changed in the last 150 years and has remained true to its statist principles. They can pretend to advocate for limited government, but their actions show a completely different story. The Republican Party have no interest in free markets, free trade, sound money, a humble foreign policy or any issue that maximize liberty. They will continue to centralize power no matter what and as long as people are stuck in the false left-right paradigm, the status quo will remain in tact until we recognize that it is people, not government that make this country. So again, the Republican Party is the Party of Lincoln, basically the party that supports centralization of power and it will continue to do so.

re: “You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

A couple of days ago, Emperor Barack Obama warned that the pastor in Gainesville would be responsible for “serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan” if he held his Quran burning protest on the 9th anniversary of 9-11. Consider the hypocrisy and the arrogance it must take to with one hand claim the right to drop bombs on people, and with the other reprimand a man for merely being ignorant and misguided.

In fact, we can look to Obama’s first hand to see exactly why there is serious violence in that region. Our attempts at empire are wearing thin and sufficient generations of non-Americans have had a sufficient number of mothers, fathers, grandparents, brothers, sisters and cousins killed by a product of the American Empire.

The violence directed towards us and our legion, at home and abroad, is a result of our aggressive foreign policy over the last few decades. Remember, this is violence that has been ongoing for a few decades. It’s not as if Pakistanis and Afghans knew there would would be a Quran burning in 2010 and so decided to preemptively retaliate. No, there must’ve been some other reason.

Here is list from Jim Cox’s lewrockwell.com piece of what might be getting all those Muslims a little upset:

1. The combined British/American overthrow of the democratically elected head of government in Iran in 1953, replacing him with the hated Shah and his secret police who the U.S. trained to murder thousands of Iranians.

2. In 1987 the U.S. militarily supported Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi war with Iran.

3. In 1988 the U.S. ship Vincennes, stationed in the Persian Gulf, shot down a commercial jetliner, killing 290 Iranian civilians.

4. After the Gulf War, the U.S. led an embargo against Iraq, allowing no humanitarian or medical aid. The results, according to UN estimates: 10,000 Iraqi deaths per month with the toll including more than 300,000 children. Then Secretary of State Madeleine Albright when asked said it was “worth it.” Albright never retracted her statement nor was it ever repudiated by an American president.

5. In 1998 President Clinton bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan. A number of totally innocent civilians were killed.

6. European armies, rather than native peoples, drew many of the borders in North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and southwest Asia.

7. The Saudi government, the Kuwaiti government, and the Afghani government are actively supported with foreign aid by the U.S. despite the fact that they routinely oppress their people.

8. The war in Iraq since 2003 that has resulted in a minimum of 97,000 civilian deaths as well as the displacement of more than a million civilians.

9. The war in Afghanistan since 2001 that has resulted in a minimum of 6,000 civilian deaths.

10. Predator strikes in Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan.

I’d like to throw in #11

Palestinian loss of land at the hands of Boobus Americanus

Palestinian loss of land from 1946 to 2000.

Well, at least we know exactly what infuriates these foreign people. Personally, I’d be pissed off at the Chinese if they invaded and occupied Maryland, killed thousands of Americans in the process, and installed a strongman dictator who oppressed Marylanders. But these silly Arabs are only upset when pastor Jones burns their holy book.

Such simpletons.

I suppose had the Quran burning gone through as scheduled, only then could we claim that we invited violence towards America by our actions. But until that happens, my argument is extraordinary to suggest.

“You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

Our esteemed leader seems very concerned about the backlash the now-canceled Quran burning might unleash in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Good for Obama, he is against violence. In fact…

but wait for it….

War in Pakistan
War in Yemen
Death in Afghanistan
Killing Pakistanis is like playing Halo
Explicit mention of civilians
More death

I know Boobus hates to read, so here are some youtube clips that may be of interest…

Ok, well Ron Paul thinks everyone is a warmonger. If he had it his way we’d be living in a sissy world were nobody kills anybody. Can we get some other opinions?

Hmm, alright. That radio talk show host is anti-Obama, ergo he must be pro-Republican ergo Boobus’ partisan preconceptions might block their ability to absorb the larger point.

Maybe we can try some a more conventional, mainstream news outlet…

Ok well, of course CNN makes me want to puke.

According to them, Emperor Obama is merely “exercising his authority as Commander in Chief,” he is not murdering anyone. Their brashness and inability to connect the dots is typical, but hey, at least they report it, even if they do try and instill in their viewers the notion that murdering people at the hands of America is completely acceptable.

Let’s get that nasty MSM taste out of our mouths….

Well, the United States is clearly going to be in perpetual war until the rest of the world is blessed with our bankruptcy and complete internal destruction (this is a certainty since the rulers of this empire are completely clueless when it comes to economics.)

In the meantime, our pathetic puppet of a president is going to keep claiming that he doesn’t want any serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan and expect us to believe it.

A reminder of Neo-Con hypocrisy

“To watch the courageous Afghan freedom fighters battle modern arsenals with simple hand-held weapons is an inspiration to those who love freedom. Their courage teaches us a great lesson-that there are things in this world worth defending. To the Afghan people, I say on behalf of all Americans that we admire your heroism, your devotion to freedom, and your relentless struggle against your oppressors.”

President Ronald Reagan – March 21, 1983
